Surveillance
   Under vehicle Surveillance equipment is used for the vehicle arrives at the checkpoint and drives over the imaging unit, the cameras capture images of the undercarriage and transmit them to the control unit which displays them on a monitor. The control unit and monitor can be located outside in proximity to the checkpoint or within the guardhouse, away from the potential threat.

Under vehicle Surveillance utilize real-time video, are able to process and present streaming video of the vehicle undercarriage as soon as the front bumper passes over the imaging unit. The screener is able to analyze the footage as the car is in motion - from wheel well to wheel well. Using typical playback functions including pause, rewind, fast-forward and zoom capabilities, the entire inspection takes about 25 seconds, depending on the protocols in place.

In addition to an overall clearer and quicker inspection, images of the vehicle’s undercarriage can be stored along with other important vehicle information including license/number plate readings or driver credentials. This technology has also advanced to include Foreign object Detection (FoD) software that automatically alerts the end user to any vehicle undercarriage anomalies.
